Having spent a long time on the phone to Sky + trying to get a reasonable
deal out of them I eventually agreed to having them supply and fit an ex
demo box. The sales guy was adamant that I would get a phase 2 box but would
not guarantee it. He also stated that I would not have to accept the
contract if I was unhappy with what the engineer arrived with.
Cost was 199 all in but requiring a telephone connection for a year. The
fitter arrived today without a phase 2 box so installation was refused and I
have now spent 30 minutes on the phone to Sky trying to get my money back.
It was debited immediately after our original conversation but I am now
being told that it takes 14 days to reverse the situation.
Let the buyer beware
