Sky tv in Greece? by alisterfields@googlemail.com
I've just taken out a new sky subscription and the man is coming to do the fitting at the weekend. I already have a dish and box which I still use for the free channels. As they are obviously going to give me a new dish and box I was thinking of giving the old stuff to my parents who now live in Greece. Would they be able to have it fitted and pointed to receive the british channels?

what is the advantage of using 'copy' on sky+ by Paul Heslop
as against, say, just playing on sky+ and press record on your dvd/VHS? I assume it locks the signal so it can't be turned over by accident. -- Paul (We won't die of devotion) ------------------------------------------------------- Stop and Look http://www.geocities.com/dreamst8me/

My Pace Sky+ box died and they replaced it with a brand new Amstrad, but it is so ****e I want to rip it out and throw it against a wall. Features... Enough time to make a cup of tea between pressing a button on the remote and the tv guide 'now and next' banner scrolling to next channel If you go back and forwards to quickly it freezes up despite showing

Auto-tune for Sky Reminder by Tom Bradbury
Is there a setting so I can get my Sky HD box to auto-tune to a channel that I have set a reminder on? Seems a pain to constantly have to select 'SELECT'. Also, what about turning the box on if its in standby and I have set a reminder, and the box has turned itself off on this power saving thing.

Ch4 and 5 on Sky by Geoff Pearson
I have a Sky box and can receive all the channels - using a FTV card. What number are Ch4 and 5 on? I can't see them in the EPG. Old info says 104 for Ch4 but the machine says that is unavailable. 104 doesn't come up in the EPG at all.

Anytime - what's the point? by Ian Pawson
Just enabled 'anytime' on my hd box. It has downloaded 2 films and 2 sports programs. As I don't subscribe to any film or sports channels, I am unable to watch any of them so why has it downloaded them?

Free channels with no payment by Gordon
Heres one for you. I installed a secondhand Sky box to an old lady.I had got a card which was turned on and so she got the family pack. The card and the box werent paired. 2 weeks later the card was turned off but this didnt worry her as all she wanted was the free channels. I saw her today and asked if she would be interested in the 'friends and family' promo which would give her Sky for a year...

I read that FreeSat is going to be broadcast on Eurobird from March 2008. Quote "Arquiva powers up for Freesat Freesat will launch on Eurobird by March next year, with help from digital TV technical operators Arqiva. Arqiva - formerly NTL Broadcast - has been working on the Freesat project with the BBC for around 18 months, and has been testing for

I can't se what I'm recording when I do VHS to DVD by tonefloyd@btinternet.com
I have a Panasonic combi DVD/VHS recorder and have transferred many videos to DVD. That was before I had Sky. Now I have Sky, when I want to record from video to DVD, I cannot see what I'm recording. I just have the picture from whatever channel I happen to have on, i.e. I cannot see what is on the tape and so I don't know when to stop recording. In VHS mode I have to select the start of the...

sky anytime copy protected? by Paul Heslop
I took friends with money as a recording from anytime and later when i tried to copy it onto dvd as I usually do my recorder refused to do it as it has copy protection on it. Is this common? I haven't had this sort of thing happen to me for a while, since my first dvd recorder used to pick and choose what it would allow me to record and I did the Black Dahlia the same way and it is now going to...

Sky FTA card - locked to box by Geoff Pearson
I've just ordered the £20 card to enable a Sky box to give me Ch4 and Ch5 free. Will it be locked to one box or can I move it between my two boxes? Do I need to have the card in the box when I activate it - or do I just phone to say I've got it? Not found answers to these question via Google.

Signal Booster for Sky (HD) ? by Alex
Hi all, I have a Sky HD box and the feed is from a communal distribution system in the block I live in. I'm on the 2nd floor and with the dish on the roof of the 10th, there's quite a bit of signal loss by the time it reaches my flat. Consequently, the signal strength is under 5% (as shown on the sky box), and the smallest gust of wind or some heavy rain is usually enough to knock it down...

Problems with muti property instalation by Paul
Hi all I am looking for a bit of advice over a problem we have with our sky installation. Were we live is in a group of 60 flats, about a year ago the land lords paid a fortune to have a mew sky digital installation done. What was installed was 2 60cm dishes with quad LMBs fitted, these fed into the distribution system which then fed a singe Coax to each of the 60 flats.
