Loss of Reminder function etc. on old Pace box by Rob Chambers
My old Pace 2200 box has not been able to accept reminders or autoviews since May, and now doesn't seem able to retain changes to favourite channels for more than a day or two. I've tried redownloading the software, but I wonder whether the latest software has been tested for compatibility with such old boxen? Should I give in and get a new one? If so, does anyone know any companies or Ebay...

Baffled by blocky picture by allan
I have multiroom with Sky+ and an ordinary box - both Amstrad off the same dish. Recently, on the second box I have noticed the picture jerks and becomes blocky on some channels while other channels are OK. The picture on the Sky+ is fine on all channels that I have noticed. For example the footy on Sky sports 1 yesterday was fine on the Sky+ but bad on the second box.

NEWSFLASH!!! Series Linked recordings re-appear after a week off air... by Ian Bethell
Top Gear was series linked two weeks ago, but because of the Snooker Tonight it wasn't on, so, normally the series link would have normarily gone and i'd have to re-set the recording to the planner... But tonight, it's re-set it automatically for me! About time! Sky seem to be getting things sorted... .slowly.

Crimp F Connectors by Anti-Spam
We have a relatively large communal system to fit and just needed some advice from professionals on wether we should gear up to use Crimp-On F Connectors or not? Are they as mechanically strong as a tight Screw-On? If they are, any recommendations on tooling etc?

change to GMT by bob1953
Hi All. As we all know, the UK changed to GMT last night. In previous years, my SKY box changed with the changing of the clocks automatically, but this time it is still on BST Have Sky messed up with the system clock, or is it just my box. Bob

sky splitter by James[_2_]
I was wonder about installing a sky feed into the kitchen tv which has an aerial. I have a spare box some cable. I was wondering if they sell a kind of splitter so I can run a cable from the back of the sky box in the front room ? Or will I have to run a feed from the LNB ?

No connection to Sky Broadband by adrianallan15@hotmail.com
Hi, I'm not sure if this is the correct group to post this on but its my last chance. I had a ADSL line with plus.net for 18 months and after getting Sky installed I made the decision to switch over to Sky broadband. Purely for monetary reasons. Since my line has been activated two weeks ago I have had no internet

Funny Non-Recording by fox
This is a new one to me... Noticed a linked recording failed to start. Looked in the planner and it was sitting there doing nothing. After the end of recording time, it disappeared from the planner but the next recording is lined up !!! Weird. (non-HD recording on HD box)

uk.tech.tv.sky by Inquisitive
For the last couple of weeks my Sky+ box has not recorded the last few minutes of a program, presumably because some sort of signal has been sent by Sky prematurely denoting the end of that program. Is there a way to force a planned recording to continue on for a certain number of minutes after the signal has been sent? I suppose a quick fix is to simply set the program after to record as well,...

Living in a Flat by John Hardaker[_2_]
Bought a Sony HD flat screen and just been into Currys Digital to find out what I need to view the BBC HD channels. Got into a conversation about the new skybox needs two aerial leads from the head unit. The new box contains two receivers, one for watching and one for recording so you can watch one channel and record another. In my block of flats there are 6 flats with two Sky outlets each....

Sky+ Planner by lbasn[_2_]
For the last 10 minutes on my Sky+ Planner it says "Please Wait" I know I have a few recordings to watch on it. Should I reboot my box (Take the plug out of the mains) or stay on there for another half hour?

My new Sky+ box keeps switching off by googlegroupsspamfilter@alister.info
Had it a week and 2 or 3 times while in the sky guide it has just gone off. If it was recording at the time it claims there was a powercut. Is it a dodgy box?

Can't get sky anytime on my Sky+ box by googlegroupsspamfilter@alister.info
The box should have sky anytime because the serial number starts with 9F22 and the manual gives the instructions for using it. However I don't have the red option in the planner and also option 6 in the service menu should be the anytime settings according to the manual but instead it doesn't appear and option 6 is manual recording.

Sky+ and Sky HD in the same room by Peter Pratten
I had attached this question to an old thread but it seems no-one was still following that thread. I'm about to get a Sky HD and keep the Sky+ it in the same room. As Sky HD responds to both the Sky+ and Sky HD codes is there a key sequence to prevent this? Will modes help? I've tried looking at the links Bob Lucas quoted in January for .letsautomate and skyeye but I could not understand...
