How much will Sky charge for a viewing card???? by Ed
If I am correct then an old Sky card will still work and give you the FTV channels. The problem with that is that the cheapest you are going to get one of those at the moment is to subscribe to Sky for a year, which is hardly a cheap option! There was talk though a bit ago of Sky issueing cards where for a one off payment you could get a Freeview type...

Press Release: LOGOFREETV receives official response from BSKYB - FTV may be cut off soon - 02/07/2003 by Vernon
"NO LOGO" wrote in message In the above News Item, BSKYB have now formally implied that FTV viewers will soon be disconnected. How can you "formally imply" something? Either it is formal, or it is implied, the two words are totally incompatible!

Ability to control digibox in the lounge from the bedroom by Hughsie
Hi An engineer has recently been round to fix the low band channels (bbc, itv etc.) which were not working. As a bonus he also connected the Sky up to the bedroom so I can watch it in bed :-) Does anyone have any recommendations for gadgets that will allow me to control the digibox in the lounge from the bedroom. Cheers

All PSB now FTV by Carl
Removing my V2 Sky viewing card brings up the blue screen on all 5 PSB channels (BBC1 thru Five). So it looks like BBC1 and BBC2 will be totally free, but the others will require a working card to be present and correct. -- Carl

FTV Card Services NOT Issuing any more Series 2 Cards by Stuart
"Chris Vowles" wrote in message ... A dark day for all those who bought boxes to view FTV TV on, bye bye five. Yes, I do remember just a year ago some strange people here deriding my decision to get a DVTA instead of a FTV Satellite setup.

When are the old cards by nige
Jomtien wrote in message ... Adrian (CatMan) wrote: We called the BBC Free to Air line, and they confirmed that the cards will become redundant mid July - so no use ordering a new one. This just isn't true. It's partially true, when the BBC go free to air you won't need a card to recieve...

What good is a spare digi box? by Paul Turner
Hi - I am new to all this so please bear with me! I have recently had sky digital installed in my lounge with the movies/sport package. However someone I know is selling a sky digibox and I wondered what good it would be if I put in my bedroom and connected it to the dish? It doesn't have a card... - Is it easy to split the cable from the dish so it goes to both boxes? - Will the box work at...

Modem broken or not? by P.P.Hughes
Hi all, I have a Panasonic box and recently tried to access my Sky Statement on line for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Every time I tried to connect, I got either an error saying that there was a problem with my phone line, or that I could not be connected and to telephone Sky on their helpline number and quote error code 111. I tried accessing a few other on-line services such as HSBC...

Replacement for expired Sky subscription card by J KScot
I cancelled my Sky subscription in July of last year and have continued to use the Sky card for the FTV channels. This morning, I received a new Sky card, without asking. This is in direct contradiction of their letter to me earlier this year in which they stated that I would no longer be able to receive the FTV channels unless I either re-subscribed or obtained a card from another...
