got my new card and it works a ok with no problems but my ordinary Sky box in my workshop has stopped working with remotes in short they won't recognize the TV now they used to work fine. I have a 'yellow house' card which although inactive, can be used as a Sky+ card to record and also picks up CH5. Since Sky brought out the new cards, if I remove the card and put it in an ordinary Sky box, it wont pick up CH5 and the onscreen message says 'please insert new card'. Put it back in the Sky+ box and it works how it worked before.

I set up a series link on Torchwood (BBC HD, 9pm - Mon - Fri this week) and the Tuesday recording failed (no signal being received). Fortunately my wife spotted this and recorded the same programme on the SD channel. My Dad's sky box (basic box) is going into standby when it likes - its random. Its giving message that it is about to go into standby - just like the message you get at 1am. Buts its happening through the day randomly. Pressing backup will take it back to normal viewing. Any ideas on the cause please? Which settings should I check?

To get the upgrade epg on hd sky does the set have to be plugged in to the phone line and should it be left on at the mains or standby for it to work. This is my own set and not belonging to sky Thanks D.........
