Which file system for Sky+? by
Steve
OK, so it's a bit of a geeky question, but I'm like that sometimes!
How are programmes recorded onto the hard disk? Which file system does Sky+
use? Can I read tech specs anywhere?
Cheers.

Sky HD resolution by
Steve T
Hi,
Just had a Sky HD installation completed.
The Sky installer has set the HD Resolution Output to 1080i.
That works, but I noticed every channel (both standard and HD) are being
upscaled to HD when delivered to my HDTV.
The HD Resolution Output also has a possible setting of 'Automatic'. When I

Sky+ Freezes in PlayBack & Records Corrupts by
MrSky+
Hello,
I've had Sky+ for about 4 years and on occasions my Sky+ has had th
odd hip cup e.g. picture freeze whilst viewing live tv and so on. N
problem.
However in the past couple of weeks, I've recorded a number o
programmes and I'll go to watch them. Suddenly the recording wil
freeze, so I'll press the Sky button to return to live tv. The Sky bo
returns to live broadcasts, however it is very...

sky+ wireless sender to 2nd tv by
buffaloes@hotmail.co.uk
Can anyone recommend a wireless AV sender that will enable me to view
Sky+ on a second tv, with good picture / sound clarity? Seen a few at
Argos, Maplin etc but conscious that some are better than others.
Many thanks.

Sky + LNB & running another "Unofficial" Cable by
Ant
Hi
After having Sky + installed the other day, my duaghter wanted the old
box wired into her bedroom to watch any FTV programs.
I connected up a cable to one of the free connections on the LNB and
ran it to the box in the bedroom.
All I can get is a message with "No signal is being received"

I would like Sky+ but..... by
Syberian
I thought i would replace my ordinary Sky digibox (with viewing card and
subscription to 4 of sky's "mix" packages) with a second hand Sky+ box.
I had hoped it would be a case of connecting the new box up and ringing Sky
to match the viewing card with the serial No of the box but i have heard
that i will have to call Sky to arrange an engineer to come out to do
something with the dish and...

Sky+, 2 brief questions by
FSW
Hi,
I just bought a 2nd hand sky+box (Amstrad 160GB), but unfortunately no
Manual.
Question 1/. Anyone know where I can get a manual?
When I try to copy a recording from the Sky+ box to an external DVD
recorder, I get prompted for a PIN. I tried 0000, 1234 and the PIN suggested
by the previous owner however none of them are accepted.

Pace Sky+ Remote - IR or IrDa? by
steveybar
I'm thinking of purchasing an audio/video sender (running a cable would be
very difficult) to transmit my from my Pace Sky+ box in the lounge up to my
bedroom.
The sender has an 'IR extension function' so that I can use a Sky+ remote
control in the bedroom to control the Sky+ box in the lounge. However the
Sender only works with Infra-red (IR) not IrDa signals.
My question is - does my...

Sky+ On Power Failure by
Peter Williams
If Sky+ is recording and there is a short power failure such that it
comes on before the end of the recording -
Will a) all recording lost
b) recording up to power failure is kept
c) recording will automatically re-commence after power
restored so only part during power failure is lost
