Not my thumb :-) - I've just programmed a PIC 16F675 to send a 'backup'
signal every ten seconds!. Total component count only 8 parts, and I
could easily reduce it down to only 4 with less output power.

It's intended to remove the 'press red button' messages, but with the
present setting of 10 seconds would work for this application as well.

Are you offering these for sale? I'd buy one - if only to get rid of red
buttons on Channel 4!
