... I spoke to an independent satellite installer this week and was told that Sky hadn't authorised independents like him to offer £20 deal. He would still have to charge £60-£100 and the only way to get cheap deal is through Sky direct on 0870 number. Is he correct? I rather want to go to an independent and get the exact model of receiver (Panasonic) and more leeway in the siting of dish and cabling. Alec When you subscribe to all the Sky packages for 1 month you get the installation for £1 according to http://www.sky.com But you have to have the dish where they put it and the digibox that they specify. If you want to specify where the dish is located and the type of dish, lnb & digibox, then you will have to pay £60-100. Presumably if you have this package, you won't have to have your digibox connected to a phone line for a year, in which case it's a good deal. Mike. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
