Default ? Downgrading to SD from SKY+HD - what consequences?

With only a small (32") TV we have not seen much benefit in having
Sky+ HD so we are now considering downgrading our SKY subscription back
to SD. Since we've had SKY HD for well over the required 12 month
contract I can't see any problem doing this to save the extra £10 (or
so) per month subscription.

Our main TV is already an HD one with Freesat and Freeview and we
certainly do take full advantage of those two facilities with the many
free programmes available off-air. The only programmes we regularly
watch on the SKY+ box are Sky Sports and Eurosport.

If we stay with SKY but downgrade to SD, I understand that any HD
programmes already stored on our SKY+ box will no longer be playable. Is
this correct?

After downgrading, will we just be unable to view or record any SKY HD
programmes, or will this restriction also apply to the free HD
programmes?

Any suggestions and/or comments will be appreciated.

TIA - Dave.

That's right - if your subscription means that can't watch the channel
"live" then you wouldn't be able to watch an old recorded programme
from that channel either.

You'll still be able to watch and record any of the non-subscription
HD channels - channels 1-5 plus NHK World, etc.
