Yes, he took the serial number, and the model number. I suppose it is _just_
possible I made an error when I gave this. He said he had sent the signal
and asked me to check my reception, he seemed surprised when I said 'no
change'. He sent the signal and asked me to check again, when it produced no
result he said it could take a few hours.

Default SKY data signals

I once ordered three free to view cards from Sky to replace the three
expired solus cards.

The new cards came with a letter saying I had to phone Sky to activate the
new cards. For each of the three cards, I was told to leave the boxes on Sky
3 to pick up the "marriage" signals.

I am surprised he did not ask me to repeat again the serial number of the
box.
