Default Free Sky+HD replacement offer

We've just received an offer to replace our Sky+HD box with a later
(larger disk) one (not the 1TB box) free of charge because we have been
a customer for a long time.

There seems to be no other condition even though the fine print said it
was for Sky Broadband customers in a Sky network area, neither of which
we are. The chap thought it was a Thomson one which was shown in the
picture on the letter. He did not understand about loosing the second
Scart socket so I will have to reconfigure connections as I currently
pass a DVD player and the Sky+ box though it because we use both and
take both boxes' output to the separate DVD recorder.

I hope I'm right in accepting a free upgrade. It's supposed to get new
services but by not being a Sky Broadband customer nor in a Sky network
area what will I gain beside extra disk space?

Got mine a few weeks ago, physically smaller and Amstrad (sky). Even got
to keep my old hd box which is in perfect working order, so I now have a
spare.

No he did not! This was a Sky "get rid of Thomsons" offer and it had already
been made clear on the phone when the offer was made that t was an offer of
a *SWAP*!
