Default New update?

I've noticed on the Sky+HD box we've got (a Thomson, ugh!) that the LAN
Connection is now visible and configurable in Settings/Options. Any other
experiences on this before I start fiddling with it?

That's VERY surprising! Sky have been replacing Thomsons at no cost as they
said that they could not get Anytime+ (and unspecified "future services") to
work with them. It was expected that this meant that there would be no
further software updates either!

Are you saying that if I call Sky up with a problem with this box, they'll
send out a new one? Will the technicians have fairy wings?

That's exactly what he's saying. Have a look at:

Not even necessary for it to have a fault! Sky PHONED ME to make an
appointment to replace my (100% working!!!) Thomson HD box. I think that
the only requiremnt was a SkyHD subscription.
