My Thomson failed just over 12 months ago and Sky replaced it with a brand-new (smaller sized) Amstrad. So far it's worked perfectly. I was expecting the failed Thomson to be replaced with a reconditioned unit, but when the engineer turned up he said that he never installed reconditioned units because they only failed again within a short time. He also replaced the LNB, checked the dish alignment, and allowed me to keep the old remote control and hdmi cable as spares. -- Kev |
