Hi all,

I have little flashing squares of pixels appearing on the top left-hand
corner of my TV. Strangely this only happens on BBC1 (via Sky) The TV has
been returned for repair but it also happens on my other TV so suspect it
may be a HD box/dish problem. Both TV's are Sony Bravias.

Anyone seen this problem before.

Many thanks

K

It sounds like more like a cue dot than a fault to me.

Is it there all the time, or just at programme junctions?

It's there intermittently right throughout the program.

Which BBC1 ? If it is only happening on one then most of us won't see
it if it is there in the picture and not a television fault. On the
same lines, can the OP see it on other BBC1 versions ?

I think you will find that those electronic cue marks small box with
black and white lines, appear on the top right hand screen.

Usually perhaps, but they do vary, like these I uploaded to youtube a while back (ITV1)

Does it stay in the Left hand corner in a Square in the picture area.

Or is it in a line - not in the picture area ?

If the latter, it could be a mistimed VT machine, or a VT machine seen
through another VT machine and your seeing the Line 23 switching info.
