I'm about to move into an apartment block that already has a satellite on
the roof with a (double) feed into each flat. I've been hearing stories that I can't "subscribe" to Sky via their website but have to by it some other way? There's no option for this on the Sky ordering process and no information either. Does anyone know what I need to do? (BTW I'm interested in the bundled phone/BB/Sky+ package and am not prepared to have Sky unless I get this package price) tim |

I thought that was *only* if you need a dish and the flat cabled up? In that case Sky might pay - but you then need most of the flats to subscribe! As you have the connections I think you should be able to sign up online!!! |

The "normal" site would let me enter a postcode at this point! But at least it has established the principle that I can order it through Sky, thanks tim |

Most of their web-site is very badly designed. It probably didn't even occur to the person who designed that particular page that some applicants might need to order a new phone line. You will probably have to place your order by telephone on 08442 411 342. However, calls to that number cost 5p per minute and unfortunately, www.saynoto0870.co.uk doesn't offer any geographical alternatives. I hope the Call Centre doesn't place you on hold for too long. If you experience problems, you could complain to one of the senior executives (listed at http://corporate.sky.com/about_sky/o...tive_team.htm). All complaints to named executives bypass the Customer Services Department and should receive prompt attention. I suggest you send an email to Andrea Zappia, who leads Sky’s marketing, sales and customer operations teams. Email addresses at Sky are usually in the form of , so you could address the email to . That tactic worked for me several months ago, when I suffered problems with an idiot in Sky's "Customer Service" Department. The 0844 number was useless and responded with a recorded message about the lengthy queue. I sent an email on a Saturday evening and received a telephone response within two hours from one of his PAs. The PA resolved the problem to my complete satisfaction. |
