Default Thompson DS1 8210 SKY + not working, but "normal" sky is

Back in July I posted about my imploding Thompson DS1 8210. My Father
in law had one sitting in his shed, hardly used and kept in a
temperate condition, so the problem was solved (thanks for your help
then Gents by the way) ..........

Anyway, last night my good lady recorded Downton Abbey. She watched it
live and at the end went into the planner. The background to the
planner was replaced by the end credits of Downton, but apart from
this, it worked OK in all respects (playback, pause etc etc etc) and
the picture qualitywas fine. This afternoon the sky + has stopped
working (Planner not available and no "anytime" available").
Absolutely no problem with normal Sky and picture quality is
absolutely fine. There is a message stating that Sky + is not
available at this time.

So, I have done a full power off and on a few times (leaving plenty of
time for the box to go to sleep and wake up). Taken the viewing card
out and wiped it. I have checked all the cables - even making sure the
phone line is in and working. We have multiroom and have no issues
with the "normal" sky upstairs.........

So - Am I back in the same position as I was in July (new box) ?.

My Father in law only had the one in his shed......

Thanks in advance for your interesting replies..........

Oh and I missed Only Connect as I was unabke to watch it live (ms
Corren !) !!!

I had a problem not unlike yours a few days ago and I 'reset' the box and
all has worked fine ever since.

I guess you were talking about the system reset on the "installer"
page which I didn't know about, but do now !

That worked

Thanks
