Default Sky+ HD Thompson HDD replacement

?Hi Guys,
Earlier this week I replaced the 300GB HDD in my box with a Samsung 1TB disc
from Novatech. Part No SAM-F31TB cost a little under £44. (See
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/d...ml?s=sam-f31tb )
After using the copy+ software to transfer what I wanted to keep (everything
except the "anytime" recordings), the new disc was 88% free, from about 30%
free on the old one.
All the transfers were successful, except the only "manual" recording. I
don't know if or why on that one.
The disc appears to be working just fine.
The only thing I have noticed is a VERY slight "seek" type noise when x12
fast-forwarding. No noticeable noise otherwise.
So - I can thoroughly recommend Copy+ and the Samsung disc.
I would also recommend copying to DVD any manual recordings, just in case
that is a Copy+ shortcoming. (It DID transfer, just was unwatchable -
"failed recording, code 8" (I think!). Though I KNOW I had watched the
recording prior to the transfer, so I know it had not failed originally.

*ALL* Sky+HD STBs use SATA HDDs - only older Sky+ (non-HD) ones will have
IDE.
