Default Sky 3D. they don't know what they do.

I had a conversation with sky following an email i sent them about sky 3D

Sky 3D is 'free' if you have sky world.

That means ALL the subs. sports, movies, arts, etc. +HD
I hate sports and will never willingly have a sports sub.
I cannot get the 3D channel by any means as i don't have the sports sub.
The channel is at this time mostly a set of promos and not premium sport.
The football match my son wanted to watch (and he has sky world) was
scrambled at transmission so only pubs had it . He had to watch 2D and set
the set to 2d-3d which was not the point.

Sky said they would show it later for 3D normal people.

So it comes to this. the channel, is mostly sport and promos. Subscribers
get it free except when there is something they might want to watch.
As a films subscriber I need to have sports to be able to watch a film on it
.. if they show one at some time. also a sports fan would need a films sub
to see a sports match.

Sky could carry films and sport on the same channel and the content would be
clear for the correct type of sub but they won't do that, except they do do
that for pubs.

They do not have any plans for a standalone sub for 3D in any form . for me
it would cost around £13 a month to get the 'free' channel. and they wont
have much i will be interested in.

What a mess. but they wont tell you this unless you ask.

Gary

This particular complaint does not make any sense! Up to now Sky 3D has
been a PREVIEW CHANNEL for normal viewers and - yes- live football matches
in pubs have been blocked from these viewers.

This should NOT be the case after 1st October - which is, after all, when
Sky 3D actually starts!!!!

Well, you could go to one of the many other 3D channel suppliers....Oh,
wait, there aren't any :-)

Looks like if you want 3d you'll have to stump up for the full package,
or wait until there are any competitors in which case Sky will probably
reduce the cost.
