Default How much to charge for re-alignment?

I have had a couple of customers telling me I am too cheap, the others
keep shtoom. Anbody care to share what the going rate is for these
services in the UK? I charge €40 for a realignment, €60 for refixing a
dish to Spanish brick wall, using 2-Part Chemi-Fix (these are big
dishes), and I charge €25 for a call-out, 1st hour free. Bearing in
mind that all the afore mentioned prices, include my travelling, which
is normally 40Km's plus. Have I been away from the UK for too long?
Mark in Spain.

The price in the UK is surely as irrelevant as the price in, say, Cyprus.
The competition in your local market and what that market will bear will
be the price determinants.

If you provide an enhanced service in comparison with the cowboys then you
may well command a premium but your market may be so price-sensitive that
you wouldn't attract new customers. If you're very busy and get plenty of
work by word of mouth then you could amend your charging structure so that
you don't feel any regrets about being "too cheap".

It seems to be all about your perception and maybe not so much about the
money. You were happy with your current prices until someone else raised
the possibility of them being able to stand an increase so try an increase
to make yourself happy again (or else discover that work dries up).

Set your prices by what the market will stand.

Thanks for the lectures on "The Market", what I was actually looking
for, was some honest answers, as to what is being charged in the UK.
