The big news is ITV2 etc to be on Sky in HD and as a subscription chanells.
Does this mean no adverts. when on Sky? I do not have Sky so I not know how Sky handle subscriptions and adverts. I'm on Freesat HD and Freeview normal. ( On Freesat the choice of HD programs is allmost nil. Not seen Freeview HD so no idea of what they have in HD.) Regards David |

Robbers then they will get extra money from you paying to view should you decide to. I guess most of you with Sky will stay with normal TV and not bother with these on HD. Wonder If ITV made another big mistake they made big ones in the past. Regards David |

Regards David I've got HD and its nice to view stuff in HD but as I've a good telly that upscales very well, SD is more than acceptable. Sky is getting a phone call at some point in the near future as most of what I watch now is on Freeview/sat. -- Conor www.notebooks-r-us.co.uk |

That's me included,I only watch ITV4 for all the old ITC programmes (The Saint,The Prisoner & Randall & Hopkirk) and they would not improve much on HD. |

Well if you want HD take care with Freesat, only ITV1 in HD and in the evenings there is BBC HD with a mixture of BBC1, 2, 3 or 4. Do not know if Freeview HD is any better. Regards David |

A separate BBC1-HD channel is expected to launch in a few months. Most of ITV1's HD output is currently upscaled SD. Yes had heard that about BBC1 going HD like ITV1 on Freesat but will they have room on Freeview without a quaulity drop? Freesat 119 for ITV1 HD appears better than 103 even though the TV with it being Freesat HD one is allready upscaling. Was told the route from the transmission path for 119 is a better one. It has the Granada adverts and regional programs not my own. Looking at a Freeview HD box in the supermarket today it also claims to get Ch4 HD So if anyone choosing Freeview might be a better one with one more program. It is all getting out of hand now for viewer choice as Film 4 in HD is exclusive to Virgin. Regards David |
