That's me included,I only watch ITV4 for all the old ITC programmes (The Saint,The Prisoner & Randall & Hopkirk) and they would not improve much on HD. if they have looked after the negatives and remaster them from the 35mm film they were shot on, they could look fantastic. could. where they all done on film?? |

Utterly laughable. we have an hd box and a normal box. the hd is in our son's room and I have had a quick peep, just to see what the fuss is about. As I said before only if the colour as not faded and the film been stored so as not to fall apart. Was at a recent film festival and hearing from an expert cinema film restorer how the films in Hollywood studios from the 50's 60's are in a real mess some almost on the verge of not being able to be resorted. Because of its American historical value The Alamo has been restored digitally and is superb when now shown but it costs lots of money. Regards David |

Total ********. given that youtube can do 1080p he's actually right in terms of resolution. of course bitrate plays a big part in picture quality - not just resolution. -- Gareth. that fly...... is your magic wand.... http://dsbdsb.mybrute.com you fight better when you have a bear! |

Really? the first itv england game of the world cup was a terrible picture and was *noticably* below that of an old analogue signal. I might as well have been watching iplayer on the Wii. |

Poor bitrate, poor resolution and really bad production (lets go to the adverts on a throwing and miss the first goal). |
