Default Sky Viewing Card Update

I have an old sky card, but use a Humax digital box for freeview. The old
sky box is used purely for non pay programmes on occasions. Will i still
need a new sky card

In theory no as the Sky box should receive all FTA programmes
without a card. In practice it is not always the case - I have
seen Sky boxes that work like that and others that don't. If you
go down that road and it works you will get BBC1 London, BBC2
England, and ITV Central West.

On the other hand if you renew your card you will get the right
channels in the right slots - unless you live in South Yorkshire
which Sky now seems to believe is somewhat nearer the North Sea
and gives viewers the Humberside/North Lince variant.

Patricia - this is a Usenet forum group for people to discuss issues
involving Sky. It has nothing to do with Sky themselves. You will need to
contact Sky direct (preferably by telephone). You should not put address and
telephone details on a public forum...

It wasn't her, it was the myreader.co.uk spammer masquerading as her.
He posts old messages and add his spamming URL to the bottom of each
one.

OK. My bad.
