Freeview doesn't use cards or $ky. ITYM Freesat-from-$ky
ATM the "proposed re-issue" seems to exist mainly within Digitalspy
forums on the basis that it must be about time the cards were
re-issued. AFAIR the cards were said to be usable until _at least_
about now.

Freeview doesn't need a card to work. Freeview isn't Sky.

Happy to Help.

There is no such thing as a Freeview card.
Freeview is terrestrial, does not use satellites and does not use cards.
Freeview boxes that have a card slot are for the Top-Up TV service which is
also not part of Freeview but is in addition to Freeview.
To find about Freeview, see

Regards Mike.
