Hi Ray.
Apologies for the Ping but I was just trying to find out if you have managed
to switch your HDMI on the Sony TV ?
I am having Identical problems to yourself and have gone through the system
time & time again with no success.
If you have managed it I would appreciate some info if you don't mind.
Regards.
Mike.

Hello again Ray.
First of all thanks for the reply and seasons greetings.
Hope you had a good time in Lapland and just to say that "Santa" now
delivers to the UK (if you've been good) so you could have saved a journey
;-))
But joking apart.
Since my last post, I have been in contact with 'Sky Technical' department
about this problem and they have confirmed that the problem is due to the
complexity of the HD box not being completely compatible with certain TV's.
The lady I spoke too said that she also had the same problem and when I
asked what make was her TV, she replied "The same as yours" a Sony.
After expressing my disgust at Sky releasing a product that was not fully
compatible, she said that it might be corrected in the future with a
software update, but didn't know when.
Her solution was to press the TV button and then the Help button to bring up
the TV's input screen where you can choose your input.
I tried this after the conversation was closed and I find that I can't even
scroll to choose any inputs, so I am back to square one.

So if you find anything else out Ray, I would be very grateful for the info.

All the best.
Mike.

Just realised Ray that you have to index by using the help button
as apposed to using the scroll buttons.

Regards.
Mike.

We went over the Christmas period because we knew he would be away! I
certainly didn't see him when I drove my snowmobile to the reindeer
farm on Christmas day.

I think I will give Sony a ring when I get back to work on Thursday and
see what they say.

I've not tried this but I have seen similar suggestions on the
digitalspy forums. IIRC you have to keep hitting the HELP button to
scroll through the options. But we've got the hang of using the "select
external source" menu on the TV.

It would be interesting to see what Sony have to say about it then Ray
before I do the same.
Would appreciate a "Ping" if you want to start a new post.
Regards.
