Splitting a single UHF aerial feed at two different points by Zudo
I need to split a single UHF aerial feed at two different points. Normally when splitting, I'd install an amplifier with dual-outputs, but if there are two splits, this would involve two dual-output amplifiers being daisy-chained. I've experimented with a couple of old Labgear amps, and found that using them in a daisy-chain configuration causes major signal degredation. Is there any special kit...

BBC1 resoultion? by Agamemnon
The resolution and picture quality on BBC1 is now so bad that it's impossible to read the players names in the score bar in the Andrew Murrey match. What are the idiots running the BBC multiplex playing at?

URGENT: Buy your digital aerial now! by Bill Wright
TV in the UK is switching to digital. This will mean everyone will get hundreds of channels and a far better picture. Every home will need a new digital aerial. You must buy a digital aerial or you will have no TV reception at all, so you will die of boredom. There will be panic buying soon, so buy now. You can spot a digital aerial because it is taller than the old fashioned analogue ones and...

Humax PVR-9200T by Derek F[_2_]
My Humax PVR-9200T did a 'Funny' yesterday. We have two half hour programmes set to record on Mondays to Fridays evenings and had also set the box to record from Nine to Midnight on C5 as we were going to be late home. I looked at the box when we got home around Eleven and it said 'recording' Today when my wife went to watch the first of her half hour programmes it stopped playing after...

Rigger's Diary: yesterday by Bill Wright
"'ello, can you 'ere me? I've pulled all the wires out and now I want to put them back, what do I do?" I paused before replying. "'ello, can you 'ere me? Are you there Bill?" "Yes, I'm here." "Good. I've pulled all the wires out and now I want to put them back, what do I do?" I knew perfectly well who it was, but . . . "You have the advantage of me." "Wot? Bill, I've pulled all the wires out and...

screen setting no longer available by wasted[_2_]
Hi I have an LG TV (37LG60000) When I bought it I had a basic SKY box. One of the options for the TV in the "Picture" setup was "Original" - and although I hadn't completely familiarised myself, I think that setting would automatically set the display to whatever the viewed programme had been created for.

Help! Can't find Astra 2 :-( by Marky P
Got my Panasonic Freesat telly and wired it up to my dish, but it can't find Astra 2 :-(. Shows signal quality as good, but won't tune in as can't find satellite. I tried moving the dish and using my Sat Finder found another signal, but still not Astra 2 (and it was weaker than the other sat signal I found). It looks like it's pointing in exactly the same direction as other dishes in the area....

OT but I am sure we... by Tom E
have all experienced this. Travelling up the M3 this morning, very busy, me sitting in middle lane doing about 80. Two cars in front and then a motorcycle sitting just to the inside of the white line between lanes 2 and 3. He cant overtake due to heavy traffic in both lanes. I look in my wing mirror and see another motorcycle coming up behind, riding the same white line, doing I estimated...

TOT Baby boom part 2 by Bill Wright
So we children of this British semi-utopia were the lucky recipients of much largesse. Father Christmas was always particularly generous. We listened patiently as our parents told us that when they were children they would have been lucky to get a mouldy turnip for Christmas, safe in the knowledge that in the morning the expensive bike or Meccano set we'd asked for would have been delivered...

Where to buy aerials? by Zimmy[_2_]
Where is the best place to buy aerials from? I think I need a high gain group E for Blackhill from Edinburgh. A supplier of CT100 cable would also be useful. Maplin only seem to do widebands and I know they're not great value for other stuff. Thanks, Z
