Hi again :-)
The lead that goes from the itvdigital box to the tv has a dongle bit at the box end - what's it for? It says something about for safety you have to use it - I was just wondering, what would happen if you used a normal aerial extension lead between the digibox and tv or video? Cheers Neil |

Sounds like a filter, basically a coil, you see them on a lot of things like the output from DC power supplies. Didn't they fit them in the faint hope it would cut down on impulse noise? Az. |

It's a lump of ferrite placed around the lead. It acts as a filter to prevent radiation from the digibox interfering with any other equipment in the vicinity. Remember the box has a computer and lots of high-speed electronics inside. Also make a useful grab handle for pulling the lead out ;-) -- Dave |
