Look North had the new style mucky coloured weather map this evening.
Why do they need weather forecast up north? Surely all they have to say is "It will probably be raining" :-) No! We get snow as well, but of course when it snows up here it takes more than 5mm before the roads grind to a halt. |

We get snow as well, but of course when it snows up here it takes more than 5mm before the roads grind to a halt. I moved down south 20+ years ago. It was Jan and they had the 1st snow here for about 5 years, 75mm on the ground. We were amazed that all the schools were closed and lot of people didn't go to work. Watching those drivers who did venture out was very amusing. Hampshire has a snowplough somewhere but they forgot where they stored it :-) |
