Truly dreadful phone in on DSO on Radio Berkshire this morning:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/p00n6q28

From 9am (2 hours in) when Andrew Peach tells us all repeatedly that
Hannington is being switched off next week which confuses the first caller.
People were contacting him and he corrects himself later in the programme.

The lady from Digital UK - Samira Bashir is garbled, confusing and with
virtually no technical knowledge including none on grouped aerials, aerial
faults and numerous other things. How do these people get their jobs? She
dodges more questions than a politician and you can hear callers getting
irritated because she's not answering their questions, then giving up when
they realise she doesn't know the answer.

Ed Jezard from the Switchover Help Scheme not much better.

It has been the same the few times I've caught the same subject matter
on BBC Essex - more misinformation than help.

Radio Berkshire and Digital UK, trouble squared !!!

I understand BBC 2 and C4 analogue Hannington were off the air today,
(not sure if planned, or a breakdown) which must have compounded the
confusion ?!

The problem is I think that they have made this switchover so complicated
that not even the staff are sure what the heck is going on. I It has more
moves and shuffles than a 3D chess game in the dark.

Ah, Mr Ray Cathode from Digital Spy, yes, although rather like some in
here do (myself included) he tries to complete the DSO jig saw, by
grabbing incomplete details from the various so called official sources,
and building up what's going on from that.

It highlights really that there is no proper and consolidated source for
complete DSO technical data.

Absolutely! I take little notice of Mr Cathode's 'Freeview Expected Changes'
page, but he's pretty thorough about what has actually happened.
