Hi all,
I have connection problems with my Samsung 32 inch LCD TV And my Humax HDR-FOX T2 Freeview+ HD Twin Tuner with 1TB Recorder. The TV Is a: Samsung 32 inch LCD TV bought Nov 2008 Model: LE32A336J1D Model Code: LE32A336J10XXV Type no: LE332A336 The Humax HDR-FOX T2 Software Version:FHTCP1.02.20 Loader Version: a7.30 System ID: 80BC.7EOO Update date: 10 June 2011 MICOM Version: 9.3 The problem is if the Humax is on a pre set recording, it will not connect with the TV, it says "no signal" on the screen. I have tried everything suggested with the Humax, re set to factory settings, check for latest update And changed to HMDI cable and the slot it is in the TV. I also have a Sagemcom DTR 6400T/6700T Recorder connected in the other HMDI slot on the TV and this is now also displaying the "no signal" message if recording. Samsung do not seem to have any driver updates for the TV. It has been suggested using a scart cable instead of HMDI but there is only one scart slot in the box, and that has my DVD player in it. Any thoughts please? Mick |

Well you could try plugging the DVD player into the second SCART of the Humax, or the Humax into the second SCART of the DVD player (if it has one) - but then you won't be able to play HD recordings back in true HD. -- Max Demian |

Asking to odd question - what are you trying to do? Is it as follows?
- You watch the Humax via the TV fine - You schedule a recording via the Humax - Later you try to watch the recording and then the TV gets upset? Have you tried fiddling with the screen resolution? I would try setting the Humax output to... 1080p 1080i 720p 526i (if possible) Note that the Humax will upscale so the signal it passes to the TV will be the same whether you recorded SD or HD. SCART only carries SD. I'd examine the menu in the TV carefully. My HDR-FOX T2 works normally with my TV via HDMI, so my guess is it's down to the TV. -- *Age is a very high price to pay for maturity. Dave Plowman London SW To e-mail, change noise into sound. |

Might be a stupid question but, have you tried turning the Humax on?
If it is in standby and then starts a recording it is still in standby (despite the front panel changing) You need to press the power button to bring it out of standby. |

Hi again,
This is trying to answer all your questions, hope this comes over ok? I have tried getting it to connect with only the Humax bbox connected but it is still the same, it does connect sometimes but not very often, I then wait for the recording programme to end then can connect ok. The Humax box only has one scart socket not two! I always use the power button to bring the Humax out of standby. From help I have received before I too think it is the TV. I will try Samsung again and see if I can get any answer about an update, the TV menu says non available, and even if I found one there is no USB socket to try and install it? Thanks all, Mick. Just as a bit of a hijack, is there a way of stopping it switching on in the middle of the night to look for a software update? Because it also switches my TV on... -- *Yes, I am an agent of Satan, but my duties are largely ceremonial Dave Plowman London SW To e-mail, change noise into sound. |

Paul DS Hi Paul, The TV is not internet connected, but I believe Samsung can update over the signal somehow, but the set still has the original, and an update scan comes up "non available" Mick. |
