Default Great British Railway Journeys - again

(See previous post on 07/01 for background)

Only the last 3 minutes were recorded last night. Monday - Thursday
programmes were fine. What is it about the Friday GBRJ that the BBC or
the Hummy doesn't like? Other Friday progs on series link also recorded
without problem.

It will be interesting to see what happens next Friday.

No difficulties whatsover with Humax HDR-FOX T2 and BBC HD channel.

I read somewhere that there are two different methods of implementing
recording start/stop times with the better method used by newer
equipment. Can anyone enlighten the group?

I have no problem recording them with a Humax via Dutch provided cable.

DVB-c tuner? When will they change to DVB-c2?

Rubbish. Do you know?

The DVB-C2 receiver chips has just been released (late 2011)
and consumer product could be available within a few months
and products will likely be available in some countries.

It may initially only be in proprietary STB's designed for cable-TV
providers releasing services based on DVB-C2.

Kabel Deutschland and other German cable-tv companies
will likely be first movers on DVB-C2.

Sony also has a chip set with DVB-T/T2/C/C2. It seems likely
these chip versions will be included in TV sets for markets where
both terrestrial and cable is commonly used.

Clearly Ziggo have been considering moving in that direction for some time.

How can I?

You could try asking Ziggo. When will you next be having cocktails with Bernard Dijkhuizen?
