But strictly speaking no less inappropriate.
One thing I would like to disable if I could is the tendency for
modern cars to flash their indicator a minimum of 3 times once you
have started to move the switch even if you release it immediately.

If the initial movement of the switch leaver is all the way to the
detent, then this isn't a problem. (At least on my Skoda).
