Often an upscaled DVD can look (almost) as good as a BD so there's little point in paying the extra. True... I only buy BDs at discount prices - when they're approx the same as DVDs. Amazon and ChoicesUK worth a look. If you wait a while many of the box-sets are available on BD at a fraction of the initial price and then represent v good value. Guy Thanks for the choices link - v. useful. On there, Lord of the Rings on DVD at 4 quid each; extended BR set 70 quid! Ouch! And they moan about slow uptake! |
