Clearly they want us to go out and buy lots of DVDs this year!

Good job I got Freesat then!
:-)

What is there worth watching on Freesat that's not also on FreeView?

Your right.
So lets just say Digital TV and drop these names which make out TV to be
different.

But it does give you a much larger selection of programmes not worth
watching?

Surely you make a point of recording those programmes which appear to
the best of the bunch. You then realise that your hard disk is full, so
you have to delete a load of them in order to make way for some of the
programmes which are shown after Christmas. In the end, you will
probably end up by deleting most of recordings, and quietly congratulate
yourself for not wasting your watching so much telly.

Unfortunately one of my PVRs died and my workshop has been dismantled for
refurb.

My other PVR is only about half full - otherwise I'd have enough "recorded
earlier" to tide me over through the Christmas crap.
