I got a hit on my site today from this as the search term. I can't even think of anything that might have been intended, unless it was "baby dish realignment in east grinstead" Perhaps it's Feng Phooey: the baby will have bad vibes and cry unless it's pointing towards Beijing? -- ================================================== ======= Please always reply to ng as the email in this post's header does not exist. I can't even think of anything that might have been intended, unless it was "baby dish realignment in east grinstead" Probably just a cut-and-paste error; perhaps "baby" was already in the text field from a previous search. A more interesting question is why your page is the first result for that query, but is only second if you take out the word "baby"... There used to be a search engine where you could see what other people were searching for at the time. I would search for things like "trepanning in the republican party" in the hope that other people would see it. -- Richard |

Actually, that IS more to the point. IME, the behaviour of search
engines can be very peculiar. Things go on predictably enough for weeks at a time, and then suddenly for no apparent reason they seem to have an epileptic fit, and start giving anomalous results. When this happens, I get people searching for satellite alignment pages landing on the terrestrial page, and vice versa, my rankings slip, searches by others find my site on page 1, but when I repeat the search to check what's going on, my pages are way down the rankings or not even there at all, etc, etc. For a while, nothing seems to make any sense at all. Then things settle down again, my rankings build up over succeeding days and weeks, 'til the next brainstorm. Overall, regardless of what is actually happening at any given time to my rankings which, though extremely variable, are pretty good for such a small site, the hit rate is on the increase. Several months this year have been records, and last month was easily the best yet. Perhaps you have inadvertently discovered a new field for your programming talents - predicting the likelihood of a breach birth. |
