Obvious, innit, guv?

It is one of those modern art installations.

(You know in the same vein as covering the whole length of a river
in bubble wrap, or tying ribbons around mountains or whatever.)

Obviously they are tracks left by giant snails or slugs - mutations
created by radiation from Chinese nuclear bomb tests.

Could be almost anything ... An origin for a satellite coordinate
system, a test card for a satellite imaging system, a robotic vehicle
(perhaps a Mars lander) testing ground, etc, etc.

There are more structures to the west of that one, including another
similar one.

I'm sure the conspiracy theorists are having a field day.

Lots of tracks on the ground. Tank range? To the west looks like a
pretend airfield or aircraft carrier for bombing practice judging by the
holes.

Look at in Bing and it appears only at a certain scale as one zooms
in/out. I suspect an artefact in a common source.

Look around that area on Google Earth and there are loads of
'structures', straight lines and plain 'weirdness' ... Son spent an
interesting hour looking closely at it and showing me what he'd found
...

Indeed, all around the world there are many weird things that were
(probably) previously unseen ...

Well you have to have somewhere to practice driving tanks around on
a course resembling streets for crushing the next uprising.

If you look closely you will see that at the extremities, a substantial
outer area of the white line tracks have been covered by mud washed down
by the occasional rain storm so it suggests that this site has been
abandoned for some time.
