Yes, it's worth keeping an eye out here, because the dates for each
year are all published in one place (but you need Flash installed just to view the data - bloody stupid). http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/transmitt...smitter_groups On Wed, 19 Jan 2011 06:34:17 +0000, Mark Carver wrote: Just appeared on DUK's web site http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/transmitternetwork/tools__and__resources/almanac/installer_newsletters_transmitter_groups2009_pdfs/Special_edition-installers_Waltham_retuneFINAL_Aug11.pdf http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/transmitternetwork/tools__and__resources/almanac/installer_newsletters_transmitter_groups2009_pdfs/Installers_3MO_Nottingham_FINAL.pdf -- ================================================== ======= Please always reply to ng as the email in this post's header does not exist. Is it likely the wick will need turning down come the end of march? The installation is a bit of an eyesore & I wouldn't mind something less substantial. I'm also toying with the idea of a DVB-T2 card for the HTPC so I can get C4 HD to complement my BBC & ITV HD from sat, but only one on the market as far as I can see right now. |

Well, Nottingham's DSO power rises from 40 watts ERP to 400 watts at DSO, so that's a 10dB increase in power. What I don't know is if Nottingham DTT has any directional restrictions on DTT currently, if so, and if you're in a null, the increase for you could well exceed 10dB ? -- Mark Please replace invalid and invalid with gmx and net to reply. http://www.paras.org.uk/ |

I see the COM muxes won't power up until September though, so I'll probably look at removing the eye sore then & stick up a Group K. What are the effects of too much signal? The whole thing is a bit of a palava, well documented in other threads. I only use the DTT for Fiver (Thomas) & Dave/Ja Vu & as an extra tuner source on the HTPC when the sat tuners are in use. I'll be glad when it's all over. |

With DTT the same as any other reception defect, break up for mild cases, and if the tuner is well and truly saturated, a blank screen and silence. Depends how good the tuner is too. Remember currently it is getting blasted with the analogue signals that are generally much higher than the DTT muxes, after DSO those will be gone. I'd suck it and see first. -- Mark Please replace invalid and invalid with gmx and net to reply. http://www.paras.org.uk/ |
