Must be alien as the reflector is in front of the dipole.
Wonder if that's why it's been dumped on Ebay?

Are you sure about that?

To me it looks as if the dipole is indeed in front of the reflector.

Yep, the dipole looks like an insect riding on the reflector! Surely it
wasn't there when the thing was in use?

But if you look at the first element in front of the reflector, it looks
like there is a possibly a dipole associated with that, upon I had been
focussed.

Perhaps something broke off? It is all rather strange.

I've seen those before. I'm sure others will know better than I, but I
believe it's part of the director chain rather than a dipole?
