just checked the website, and have to say, aww crap! I'm getting a little
fed up with the simpsons only being recorded 50% of the time!

If you set TV1 to a channel on a different Mux to the channel being
recorded, before switching off prior to a timed recording, you have a
much better chance of getting the other 50% !!!

36 watts (maximum) and I don't imaging it'll use much less than that on
standby.

Standby mode stops the hard disk from spinning and turns off all
but one amplifier. The processor and memory are still powered,
of course.

My memory is flaky, but ISTR reading somewhere that you also have to be
to tuned to a BBC channel.
