No -- I was agreeing with you in the context of emigration to
non-English language European countries, where many emigrants
do not bother to learn the language and where there is minimal
cultural integration.
With regard to Commonwealth Countries and the USofA, one needs to
consider the cultural integration which is of course much easier,
not just because of the language level.
The US, Oz and New Zealand etc were all non English speaking countries.
Nor was there any integration to speak of as regards local customs etc.
