Default Farewell XBOX One, from the XBMC team

I was amazed to find people still write for computers like Spectrum and
Atari 8 bit, maybe not for a lot of money, but maybe they just are trapped
in a time warp.

The original Xbox platform seems to have run out of grunt for the main
XMBC development guys but a lone fellow continues (but for how long?) ...

Think this is sadly the end of something.

Apart from things born out of the hardware of PCs (and are in fact PCs),
other game consoles are so locked up in their manufacturer's propriety
code prison that they sadly can't be host to a heap of generous 'keep it
alive' developments from the internet community.

Failed set top boxes also don't have an easy 'way in' for re-purposing for
other applications - even built on Linux kernels, they also use encyption
tools to twart reprogramming efforts.

Ah well :-(

(unless I have forgotton something?)
